CREEPERS AND SLAMMERS: Good for large groups too! Sitting at a table, having people on either side of you and across from you. Divide your group into two teams. One team at a time takes a turn passing a quarter under the table carefully so that the people across from you on the other team can't see where the quarter is. Then at any time the other team that doesn't have the quarter tells you to stop! They either yell "CREEPERS", All the people on the team that has the quarter must bring both hands up on the table and slowly try to open their hands with their palms down trying not to allow the quarter to drop loudly. The opposite team tries to guess where the quarter is. If the opposite team calls "SLAMMERS" then everyone on your team brings their hands up quickly slamming them down with palms down and open. The other team tries to guess who has the quarter. Just take turns until you are tired of playing. It is a lot of fun and everyone can join in. The winner is the team with least number of guesses to find the quarter.
This is a fun game that can be used to celebrate Groundhog's Day. Each player, whether it be child or adult, gathers items from around the house that can be used to duplicate a groundhog. Each player is given a number. The numbers they are given corresponds to the order in which they will perform a groundhog stunt. Each player gets dressed up like a groundhog and perform a little skit that they have just thought of. The audience decides which groundhog is the best and they receive the winning party favor or gift.
A great game to play on Groundhog's Day. Players divide into equal groups. One group forms a circle around the other group of players. The outside group has a stuffed animal, like a groundhog, with which they try to hit the other players that are inside their circle. As soon as one is hit he must immediately join the circle and help hit the others. When all have been tagged in this way, groups change places and repeat. The two players who were last to be hit in the two games are captains to choose the teams for the next time.
