PASS IT ON: Sit close together in two lines facing the same direction. The person in the front of each line rolls a die. When one of them gets a six, both of them pass a small object (a jack, a ball, a bracelet) to the person behind them who passes it on until it reaches the end. When it gets to the last person, that person must get up and race to the front of the line with the object and sit down. The person who sits down first, gets to sit in the front of the line. The person who was second to sit down, goes back to his or her spot. Whichever line rotates from back to front first, wins.
A fun game to play on Halloween is hide and go seek. This is very similar to any other game of hide and go seek, but this game is played on Halloween when it is really dark outside. One player is chosen to be the seeker. This player counts until all players are hidden and then lurks around trying to find the players that are hidden. Once the counter finds a hidden player, this player now becomes a seeker and joins the original seeker in their quest to find the rest of the players. When all players are found the game starts over in the same manner with the player found last becoming the new seeker.
This game can be used for Halloween while the children are dressed in the Halloween costumes. A ring is formed by the players joining hands, while one child, who is to "drop the spider web," is left outside. He walks round the ring, touching each one with the spider web, saying the following words:
"I brought some candy to my love,
But on my way, I dropped it;
A little child picked it up
And put it in his pocket.
It wasn't you, it wasn't you,
It wasn't you—but it was you.
"When he says "It was you," he must drop the spider web behind one of the players, who picks it up and chases him round the ring, outside and under the joined hands, until he can touch him with the spider web. As soon as this happens, the first player joins the ring, whilst it is now the turn of the second to "drop the spider web."
