Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year)

Rosh Hashana begins on different days each year but is typically held in the month of September, and although it is a solemn time, Jewish families have great fun decorating, feasting, and partying together.   Rosh Hashana is the Jewish New Year and focuses on what we did and how we behaved in the last year. Families cherish this time together with special foods and Rosh Hashana themed celebrations. It's important to make the New Year a sweet one by offering lots of decorated sweets.
