THE BLINDS GO MARCHING: The stake is driven into the earth. All the players but one are blindfolded. They stand in a circle around the stake. The distance between the stake and "the blinds" is measured by the steps. Usually this distance is equal to 30-50 steps. "The blinds" are facing the stake. "The sighted" player begins to count and all "the blinds" go marching to his/her counting in the direction of the stake. When "the sighted" has counted up to the number of steps between the stake and "the blinds", all the players stop and move away their fillets. The players are usually surprised at seeing themselves having gone to the wrong direction. "The blind" who manages to come to the stake becomes "the sighted", and the former "sighted" becomes "the blind".
This game is played on St. Patrick's Day. A group of children not divided in teams goes to the front or back yard of their house. While they are in the yard they search for four leaf clovers. Each child searches on their own and tries to gather as many four leaf clovers as they can. When the children get tired of looking they meet back up to see who gathered the most four leaf clovers. The winner is the child that gathered the most four leaf clovers. For each four leaf clover the children found they should receive a prize or party favor.

Printable St Patrick's Party Games
This game is fun for children and adults on St. Patrick's Day. The players decide among themselves which one of their number shall act the part of St. Patrick. This being done, each little boy chooses a little girl as partner; St. Patrick having taken his stand in the middle of the room, they all commence to walk arm-in-arm round him, singing the following lines:
There was a St. Patrick who lived by himself;
As the wheel went round he made his wealth;
One hand in the hopper, and the other on the bag;
As the wheel went round he made his grab.
At the word "Grab" all must change partners, and while the change is going on St. Patrick has the opportunity given him of securing a partner for himself. Should he succeed in doing so, the one left without a partner must take the place of St. Patrick, and must occupy the center of the room until fortunate enough to get another partner.
